Music fans everywhere flocked to Twitter last night for MTV’s Video Music Awards, casting their votes, following their favorite artists and contributing to a huge volume of #VMA buzz. Twitter chatter boomed for hashtags surrounding the “Most Sharable Video” twitter vote, and it proved to be a close race.
#VoteOneDirection came out on top, racking in 27,972,134 total tweets throughout the week leading up to the VMA’s, just edging out #VoteBieber which received 26,563,153 votes.
