There are a number of tools available to help you analyze your twitter performance but none of them go as far or as deep at Twitter Analyzer. If measuring your Twitter ROI is important to you or if gaining insight into the demographics of those who follow you holds any interest then Twitter Analyzer is for you. With its wealth of analytics at your finger tips, you will soon hone your Twitter campaigns to razor sharp effectiveness.
Return on investment will be measured differently for different people and businesses. Earlier this year, Mashable reported that 60% of Twitter users stop using Twitter in the first month. We tend to think those folks joined twitter without a clear goal. If you don’t have a goal to guide your use of Twitter than this tool isn’t for you. Nope, Twitter Analyzer is for goal oriented tweeple. Those of you who have a purpose on Twitter, who know what you want to accomplish, and how you want to grow. Twitter Analyzer provides the kind of data one needs to strategically reach the right tweeple with the right message at the right time.
Twitter is a social network and one of the best ways to quantify the return on your time invested in the medium it to take a good look at the conversations that are generated by your efforts. Who is talking about you? What are they saying? How often are your messages retweeted across the twittersphere? These are all good an important questions that Twitter Analyzer can help you answer just as some other tools do.
But Twitter Analyzer goes well beyond that to help you gain much deeper insight into various aspects of your Twitter activities. You can view important demographics about your followers that can help you target and improve your Twitter performance over time. Here’s a brief look at the various reports this Twitter tool provides:
After you log in to the system with your Twitter credentials you will land at the User report interface. Above is a view of the options from this menu. Twitter Analyzer generates your reports swiftly on the fly as you review each report using the button interface. There really is a wealth of information here.
The next report area is the friends area that again provides very useful information about your followers, their growth rate and density by region. Every wonder who retweets you most often…check out the RTing friends report. We were happy to find our Disregarded friends list was short – but at least now we know we need to make amends to that person! Sorry.
Here’s a quick look at the other report areas available:

While we found all of the reports useful we were most pleased to see the ‘Groups by Occupation’ report. It gave us a nice breakdown [below] of the occupations of our followers. We imagine this would be extremely useful to help anyone develop strategies to speak to their current followers more effectively. By the same token, it will help you identify gaps in prospect categories you may want to follow more actively.
When viewing a report you can click on a section of the chart to view examples of the data represented in the right column.
Overall, Twitter Analyzer provides the most in-depth Twitter Analytics of any of the free tools we tested over the past year. It’s interface is intuitive and the insights it provides are invaluable.
If we could make just one improvement it would be the ability to save and download our reports for further review. Given that it is free at the current time…we won’t complain. Come to think of it, that may be a great way to monetize this tool in the future. We’d pay a small subscription fee to be able to save our reports and track progress over time.
If you haven’t tried Twitter Analyzer we suggest you rev it up and give it a whirl soon, you’ll be glad you did. We’d also love to hear from those of you who find other twitter analytics tools helpful. Which ones do you prefer and why?
Until next time, be well and happy tweeting!
